Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Minutes: 45
Summary: When the girls open their eyes, they see nothing but Aslan, the stone table, and the empty forest. They sit next to him and then start walking up and down a hill until morning. When they come back, the find the stone table cracked in half and Aslan standing normally. He explains that with deep magic comes deeper magic. He used the deeper magic to return to life. They come back and decide to start a war. It's between Aslan, Peter, Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Aslan's army against the White Witch and her army. In the end, after minutes of brutal fighting, Aslan and his crew come out on top. They go to a place called Cair Paravel and Edmund, Peter, Susan, and Lucy become kings and queens. They control Narnia for a long time and after years, they come out of Narnia and return as their normal selves. As kids again. And the weird thing is, the maid is still talking to a group of people. The same as when the kids left for Narnia. My opinion for the entire book is... 10 out of 10, 2 thumbs up, 5 out of 5, and everything else that means perfect. The action really elevated throughout the story. I enjoyed it very much.

Title of Text: No More Magic
Minutes: 45
Summary: A kid named Chris went trick or treating with his friends. They rode their bikes to Chris's house to finish their costume's last touches. When they leave, they stay out for a while. When Chris comes home, he notices that his bike is gone. He later tells a cop about it and the cop says he will keep an eye out for it. A couple days after Chris reported to the cop, he got a call saying that a man saw someone riding his bike. Chris decides to get a new bike until he gets his old one and he goes to the person caught riding his old bike. My prediction for next time is that Chris will ask the person about his bike and if she knows. I also predict that the person will act as if she didn't do anything. A question I have is why does Chris love that old bike of his so much?

Title of Text: No More Magic
Minutes: 90
Summary: When Chris talks to the person, he learns that it's a girl and that she is named Muffin. He talks to her and reveals that she had a warlock costume, but it was stolen so she became a nurse. He and she decide to look more into the mystery as a team. The next day, when Chris is about to sleep, he notices a Warlock looking person riding a bike through the skies! Not only that, but he also sees that the Warlock is riding his old, green bike! The next day, he tells his best friend and luckily, he believes Chris. Now, Chris has two people helping him. He decides to ask around if they have seen the bike. Their first person is Mr. Podler who lives at the top of a hill. When they come, the man is all mean to them, acting rude to them. My prediction is that Eddie (Chris's friend) and Chris will continue to ask around. I also predict that Chris will see the Warlock fly through the sky again.

Title of Text: No More Magic
Minutes: 30
Summary: Mr. Podler tells them what he saw and Chris ends up collecting good information. Mr. Podler was walking through the woods when a bike was approaching him with a checkered person on it. Chris realizes that it sounds a lot like the warlock Chris saw. The next day, Chris checks on Muffin to see what information she got. She found that it was not Eddie, and she also used the time Chris bought a bike from Mr. Bullen. When the Mayor told Chris the winner had small feet, he knew that Mr. Bullen had small feet. Also, since grownups can't be in the contest, he didn't put his name in when he won. He also didn't want Chris to take the green bike which meant that it was most likely Mr. Bullen! My prediction is that Chris, Muffin, and Eddie will go visit Mr. Bullen and ask him about the bike. I also predict that he will be guilty. My question is, why would Mr. Bullen not want Chris to take the green bike?

Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Minutes: 45
Summary: The four kids hide from the professor in the wardrobe and Peter notices that he is sitting on something wet. Susan ended up sitting against a tree. They turned around and noticed that they were in the world of Narnia. Edmund admits that he went to Narnia before and they all vote Lucy leader of the group. Lucy decides to go to the faun's house. When they arrived, there was a note saying that the faun has been arrested. They came out wondering where the faun could possibly be. While walking through the woods, they notice a robin flying from tree to tree. The group of kids decide to follow the bird until a couple trees later, the bird shoots off, flying far away. They then notice a talking beaver. It tells them to follow it to its home where they can talk about the faun. They decide that the beaver can be trusted and the kids follow it. A connection I have with Edmund is how wise he is being. He is always wondering if this or that can be trusted. If I were him, I would do the same to keep myself and others safe. My prediction is that they will talk about the faun and the beaver will tell them who arrested him. My opinion on the book so far is... 4.5 out of five, 9 out of 10, a fantastic book for both young and old readers.

Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Minutes: 30
Summary: The group of kids go to the beaver's house. There, they talk about the great Aslan, king of Narnia who visits rarely. The beaver tells them that they must visit Aslan and join him to fight the White Witch. Edmund, the boy who talked to the White Witch, sneaked out of the house and headed over to the White Witch's castle. When he gets there, he talks to the White Witch. He tells her about the fact that Aslan will come. My prediction is that the White Witch will think of a plan while the kids leave the beaver's house. A question I have is why did Edmund have to turn to the dark side by joining the White Witch? Anybody could figure out that the White Witch was trying to persuade him or her if they were in the place of Edmund.

Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Minutes: 30
Summary: The White Witch decides to hunt down the kids before they reach the great Aslan. Meanwhile, the kids and the beaver head out to search for Aslan hoping that the White Witch will not catch them. With the howling and unbearable winds, they get slowed down a lot. My prediction is that the White Witch will hunt down the kids just as the kids reach Aslan at the tip of an island. The race began and it's exciting already. My opinion on the book has definitely changed. Two thumbs up, 10 out of 10, 5 out of 5, and whatever means perfect. The book is getting better and better every page. The action has really sunk in and I have a good picture in my mind. A question I have is why did Aslan have to be so far from the kids? It's a long walk from the beaver's house to Aslan. I just don't get it.

Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Minutes: 100
Summary: The group of kids decide to camp out at night. Meanwhile, the Witch and Edmund leave to find them. When the kids get up, they run into a man named Father Christmas. He gives the beavers presents, and the three kids presents. Peter gets a sword and a shield, Susan gets a bow and a sack of arrows, and Lucy gets a bottle of a healing potion. When they meet Aslan in a nearby place, Aslan asks about Edmund. Meanwhile, the Witch sends a wolf to find the kids. When the wolf arrives, Peter slays the wolf just before it could cause harm. While the wolf was out, the Witch tied Edmund to a tree and prepared to harm him when suddenly, part of Aslan's army saves him. Edmund gets untied then faints from all the commotion. When Edmund wakes up the next day, he joins the other kids and Aslan once again. He apologizes to the kids and they spend the day forgetting about the past and moving on. The White Witch comes over and makes an agreement with Aslan but nobody else heard it. At night, Peter and Edmund fall asleep easily, but Lucy and Susan can't sleep. They decide to come out and find Aslan. They spot Aslan, but soon, Aslan notices he's been followed. He lets them follow him near the Stone Table, but then asks them to leave. When they do, they decide to hide behind bushes. They see that Aslan is about to become hurt. The White Witch pulls out her knife and stands at Aslan's side. The two girls cover their eyes, waiting for the mystery event to be over.

Title: Eddie and the Jets
Minutes: 45
Summary: Eddie and his football team called the Juniper Street Jets face Kirby Carpenter's Giants. As always, Eddie came out in the bottom with a score of 35-14. When he came home to watch the real Jets' game, the announcer gave him a great idea—a new team. The next day, without consulting teammates Kenny and Mikey, he “drafts” the new kids called Marty and Sean. Kenny and Mikey soon find out and decide to make their own team. When Eddie comes to practice with his new team for the first time, he reveals that Sean can't catch good and Marty runs bad and trips a lot. Bobby is same old with his good catching and running. Eddie is still the quarterback. Their first practice was good, but not great. My prediction is that Eddie will try very hard to teach Marty and Sean the proper ways to play and help them improve. My opinion on Eddie's decision not to tell Kenny and Mikey is that it was a pretty bad choice. If I were put in that situation, I would probably tell them that they simply have to go and then go get two new players. Doing it behind their backs is wrong.

Title: Eddie and the Jets
Minutes: 55
Summary: In their next couple of practices, not everyone could make it. On one practice, only Bobby and Eddie showed up. When Eddie threw a long ball to Bobby, he dove for it, scraping his arm on impact. When they came to Bobby's house, Bobby's sister Jackie helped him heal. While she did it, Eddie got “lost in her eyes.” A couple days later, Eddie's dad decides to go away from home to start a “new life.” At the schoolyard, a fight breaks between Eddie and Kirby when Kirby mentions something mean about Eddie's dad. Eddie gets an injury from Kirby slamming Eddie's head on the ground. Two days, later, he goes over to Jackie while Bobby and Eddie's mom are away. They chat and Eddie asks her to go get some pizza with him. After a couple giggles, Jackie accepts. At Louie's Pizza, they chat and eat, talking about school. Eddie seems to enjoy being around Jackie. A prediction I have is that Eddie will continue hanging out with Jackie whenever he can. From clues in the story, Eddie seems to like Jackie a lot. He always thinks of her and can “see her everywhere he looks.” From what I've read so far, I think this book has an interesting storyline. I would definitely recommend it to any sports fans—especially Jets fans.

Title of Text: Eddie and the Jets
Minutes: 45
Summary: The next few practices weren't doing so good. Marty and Sean had their usual problems, Bobby was dropping a few easy throws, and Eddie couldn't stop thinking about Jackie. Eddie and Jackie have been hanging out a lot lately. One day, when they were walking home from the pizza place, they took their first kiss. Eddie was loosing his football talent. A couple days, later, after a perfect practice, they went over to Bobby's house. While nobody was looking, Eddie sneaked up to Jackie's room. There, they kissed again. Bobby came in, shocked completely. He grabbed Eddie and dragged him down stairs and threw him out. He quit the team. It was down to Marty, Sean, and Eddie. While walking home, Marty and Sean decide to quit as well. It was down to Eddie and he had to forfeit. Eddie wanted to talk to Jackie but he was afraid Bobby would tear him to shreds. A question I have about Bobby is why did he get that upset? Eddie didn't deserve that. Bobby took it way to hard. A prediction I have is that when Eddie has to tell Kirby the truth, Eddie will get made fun of by everybody.

Title of Text: Eddie and the Jets
Minutes: 30
Summary: As Eddie's life started to fall apart, he decides to try to get back the original team. Kenny, Mikey, Bobby, and Eddie. Just like the old days. He gives Kenny a call and begs for him to come back. Status on Kenny: on the team. He gives Mikey a call and begs him back. Status on Mikey: on the team. Now, Eddie had to deal with the toughest one, Bobby. They go to his house and there, Eddie admits that he is very sorry for what happened. After a couple minutes, Bobby comes back. The next day, they face Kirby and the Giants. With all new plays, they get to the closest they've ever been in. The final score was 35-28............... Kirby's team on top. Kirby went over to Eddie. This time, instead of a mean comment, he compliments them. When Eddie came home, he saw his dad waiting with his stuff. He's staying home. Eddie finally has his dad back, his friends back, and he's going to try to work things out with Jackie. My opinion on this book is that this was truly amazing. In every page, there were either sad moments, or action packed moments. I don't know anyone who wouldn't read this book. I definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Title of Text: The Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Minutes: 70
Summary: A group of four kids come to a professor's house. They explore the house's many rooms until they come upon a room with a wardrobe in it. They soon get bored and leave except for one kid named Lucy. She goes inside the wardrobe as deep into it as possible. When she gets pretty far, she sees a light, then something soft under her feet. She notices that she entered a world called Narnia. A faun (look at the animal in the picture) greets her and welcomes her to Narnia. It invites Lucy to its house to have tea and food. While she is there, the faun admits a secret. He was supposed to turn Lucy in to the White Witch who made the place have winter all the time. The faun apologized and quickly got her out of Narnia. When Lucy came back, she told the others about Narnia, but they didn't believe her. The next day, the group decided to play hide and seek. Lucy hid in the wardrobe and another kid named Edmund followed her. Edmund became lost in the wardrobe until he finally fell in Narnia. A sleigh suddenly came in flying and landed hard next to Edmund. The White Witch asked for Edmund's name, then made a deal with him. Edmund would have to bring all the others with him to the White Witch's castle where Edmund could become Prince and have all the Turkish Delight he wanted. When Edmund tried to head back to the wardrobe, he met up with Lucy. She was surprised Edmund got into Narnia. When they came out, Lucy told the others that she and Edmund went to Narnia. Edmund didn't want to be foolish so he said that Lucy was lying. Lucy became upset and ran to her room. Edmund, Susan, and Peter later talked to the professor about Lucy's story. The possibilities they came up with were that she was making it up, or she was telling the truth. The only people that know Narnia are Edmund and Lucy but Edmund won't admit it. The prediction I have is that Edmund will try to convince them that Narnia is real and he will get them to go to the White Witch's castle.

Title of Text: Hover Car Racer Crash Course
Minutes: 104
Summary: A 14-year old kid named Jason Chaser is a hover car racer looking to go to the Hover Car Racing School. He entered the final race for the invitation. The objective was to zoom through as many gates as possible in 3 hours and come back. Nine minutes into the race, a kid smashes into Jason, costing Jason a whole lot of time. When the race ends, he finishes dead last. When he returned to his pit zone, a guy named Syracuse was waiting for him. He asked him to draw his route on a map, then Syracuse ave Jason another map with the regular route. He was surprised by Jason's choice and he later invites Jason to the school. There, he gets assigned Syracuse as his mentor. On their first day, they practiced pit stops for hours. A couple days later, they have their first race. Jason doesn't finish because he decided to save fellow racer Ariel Piper from a crash. A connection I have with Jason is that instead of finishing in 5th place, he decided to save a fellow racer from suffering a severe crash. If I were put in that situation, I would most likely do the same because I'd much rather have everyone servive than have me finishing the race and one other driver dying. A prediction I have is that Syracuse will be upset about Jason's decision even though Jason did the better thing.

Title of Text: Hover Car Racer Crash Course
Minutes: 100
Summary: As the other races go by, Jason tries to get 1st place in each so he can participate in the Sponsors Race where sponsors look for racers that may grow up to become one of the greatest. Jason continues to fail until their last chance, Race 25 comes to town. With a shortcut that's tricky but useful, the decision at the end is hard to make. Jason and the other competitors race their hearts out to the finish, but in the end, Jason came out leading the pack by just over 1.60 seconds. He gets the invitation to the Sponsors Race and achieves one of the best challenges the race school has ever seen. A connection I have with Jason is that despite the fact that he always came close to 1st, he never gave up. I wouldn't give up if I wanted a spot in the Sponsors Race. I would keep my head up high and take on the race with full strength. A question I have is that if they make a sequel, will they put a lot of new characters. Its just that I heard the same names a lot and I want things to change. Maybe also a lot more girls in the school. There are only two that they mention. It doesn't seem right.

Title of Text: A Deadly Game of Magic
Minutes: 60
Summary: Four friends named Lisa, Bo, Julian, and Teena were heading home from a contest when their car suddenly broke down. They went over to someone's house and asked for the phone. They went inside and called the Auto Club. The guys that let them inside didn't actually live there. The two people left the house leaving the kids alone. They soon started to get scared from the storm. Lisa goes near a hallway and notices one open door. She decided to stay away. They found a magic object called a guillotine. It snaps stuff into two. They think the house belongs to a magician. Later, a lady with a package for the house owner came by. She explained to the kids about the magic stuff. Turns out, she watches the old lady that lives in the house. She brought her husband's magic stuff over to the house when her husband died. Now, she's marries again but needs to be taken care of. A prediction I have for the story is that they will decide to go to that one room that's open. Many mysteries are waiting to be revealed behind that door and they might find them. A connection I have with Teena is that she had no idea what a guillotine was. She was about to have a split finger but someone saved her. When the book first mentioned the word guillotine, I was clueless about what that was. A question I have for the book is why did the woman keep her dead husband's equipment?

Title of Text: A Deadly Game of Magic
Minutes: 50
Summary: The guy from the Auto Club named Sam comes but refuses to fix the car. Lisa then explains the open room at the hallway. Sam checks it and when he gets near, he faints. Lisa and Julian go to the kitchen for a wet towel. Bo and Teena join them later but when they come back, Sam is gone. He left with his truck. They later watch for weather alerts. Lisa, Julian and Teena go to the kitchen for something to eat. When they return, the chair next to Bo has a head on it. When they get in front, it's just a head made of plaster. Bo and the rest of the gang start to think someone else is in the house trying to get them out. My prediction for next time I read is that they'll find this mystery person and see how dangerous it is in this house. A connection I have with the gang of 4 is that they all are getting really terrified if they see something scary. I would do the same and chicken out if I saw that head next to Bo. A question I have is why might that mystery person be trying to get them out of the house?

Title of Text: A Deadly Game of Magic
Minutes: 50
Summary: The four friends start talking to each other when a frightening whisper comes from nowhere. They blame it on Bo but he says he is not doing it. Then, another magician's tool comes up. A fake hand that is robotic taps on Lisa's head and she freaks out. Then they see a flying ball of light. It's another magic trick where two things control the ball to make it look like it's flying. The group follow the ball to the kitchen and find a dog. It's black and has no tag. When the four people start chatting in the kitchen, the dog sneaks out. Julian and Bo decide to look for it. Lisa and Teena start to go look for them when Julian comes back to the kitchen. He lost Bo so he decided to come back. Lisa, Teena, and Julian come out to find Bo. A connection I have with Lisa is her reaction to the fake hand trick. She was startled out of her mind and shrieked very loudly. If a fake hand started tapping my head, I would scream my lungs out. My prediction for next time is that they'll continue to search for the the dog and Bo.

Tittle of Text: A Deadly Game of Magic
Minutes: 75
Summary: Lisa, Julian, and Teena continued searching. They found the dog in the car in the garage. When they started searching for Bo, they decided to check the black room with the magic items. There it was, Bo's head on a plate held by a fake butler. It was an illusion though and they pulled Bo out. They then go to a room and find more clues from letters sent to the house. Suddenly, they heard the police at the door but when they checked, they saw it was just a trick. They go back inside and they planned that they should go head on with this mystery person. They knew it was a magician so they decided to use black on black. The magician is covered in black for camouflage so they will try to beat him at his own game. A connection I have with Bo is how much he cared for the dog. It was lonely and lost. If a dog was begging for shelter in my home, I would definitely take it in. I would care for it because of what it's been through. My prediction is that they'll try to make this mysterious person stop doing what he is doing and get out of the house alive. I have one question though. Why might this person be torturing Lisa, Teena, Bo, and Julian? They never did anything wrong.

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Minutes: 60
Summary: She came over to Phoebe's house who looked very frightened. Phoebe showed her three envelopes. One for Phoebe, one for Prudence (Phoebe's sister), and one for her father. All of them were from Phoebe's mom. They all read their envelope. Prudence has to cook for the family. Phoebe's said to take care of herself. And the one for her dad said that she just had to run away. Phoebe believes her mother was kidnapped by the “Lunatic” but her father pointed out that it's impossible because the “Lunatic” wouldn't give her time to write these letters. They sat down and ate dinner in silence. Also, Phoebe and Salamanca found another strange message. It quotes, “In the course of a lifetime, what does it matter?” A connection I have with Phoebe is about how she looked. Phoebe was frightened about the fact that her mom ran away. She almost cried. I would feel frightened as well. It's scary for your mother to run away with you not knowing about it. My prediction for the next time I read is that the Winterbottom family will wait a couple days for their mother to come back. The mother promised to call them. She may come back if the family can persuade her.

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Minutes: 60
Summary: Salamanca, and her grandparents stop at a place called the “Badlands.” There are purple and pink rocks and a scary hill that's steep. Salamanca's grandparents rested on a blanket. The grandma has trouble talking due to the snake bite. While they're there, there is a pregnant woman standing alone so they invited her to the blanket to rest. The pregnant stomach reminded Salamanca of when her mom was pregnant. Salamanca was so close to having a sister but the baby died in the tummy. The chord rapped around and squeezed her neck. Back at Phoebe's place, Salamanca and Phoebe receive another envelope with a piece of paper. This one quotes, “You can't keep the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can keep them from nesting in your hair.” Salamanca and Phoebe are starting to think there's a connection between the “Lunatic” and the message-leaver. They're trying to prove it. A connection I have is about my mom when she lost her twins during the first quarter of her pregnancy. The babies had no heartbeat so the doctor had to take them out. I was only 5 years old so I wasn't aware of it. But when I think about it now, I always wish they never had to die. It would have been fun to have two more siblings, especially to have a brother or brothers. It's heart breaking for a baby to die when you haven't even named it. I'm sure anyone would cry if that happened to them. My prediction is that Phoebe's mom will contact them by phone once in a while and soon come back. As for Salamanca, I think she'll find the “Lunatic” at some random place again. A lot of mysteries going on in he book. I have one question though. Is there a sequel to this book like ummm... Walk Three Moons?

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Minutes: 60
Summary: Phoebe and Salamanca went to the police station. They tried to tell the cops about Phoebe's mom's disappearance. But the police man just didn't take them serious. He thought all of this was a joke and nothing mattered. The next day, they went back to the station. Once again, the police man thought it was all a trick. Phoebe got very angry. When the police man left his desk, Salamanca took a peek at the pictures on the desk. One of them had the cop's son in it. Salamanca recognized the son. It was the lunatic. Salamanca was puzzled about this. They went home and found yet another mysterious message. This one quotes, “We never know the worth of water until the well is dry.” Phoebe thought that this is a clue about her mom's disappearance. She may be in a well but Salamanca disagrees. A connection I have with Phoebe is how she felt. She got furious when the cop didn't take them seriously. If I was dealing with a huge problem like Phoebe and someone thought I was joking, I'd get really angry. When you're dealing with a tough problem, you need all the help you can get. You can't just have people laughing at you. A prediction I have is that they'll try one more time to get the cop's trust. Like they say, “3rd time's the charm!”

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Minutes: 77
Summary: Phoebe and Salamanca make a plan to find out who the lunatic is. They ride a bus to a university and try to find Phoebe's mom and the lunatic. They find both of them at a bench kissing. When Phoebe and Salamanca come to Phoebe's home, they get a call from Phoebe's mom saying she's coming back, but with a person. Phoebe's mom explains that she's been married before and the lunatic is her son. The dad welcomes the lunatic into the family. Salamanca and Phoebe later decide to leave. When they come out, they see an old lady putting an envelope on the front steps. They read it. It quotes, “You can't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins.” Salamanca explains that they received this quote already and she asks why she is doing it. The old lady says that she thinks it's fun passing out messages. It's sort of like fortune cookies. Speaking of mothers, when Salamanca and her grandparents start driving again, they see Salamanca's mom's grave. Her name and years of life are engraved on the stone. Salamanca was devastated. They stay with it for a while then leave. On the trip to a hotel, Salamanca's grandma has a stroke. When they bring her to the hospital, she dies at 3:00 A.M. Salamanca is now living happily in Bybanks again with her father and grandpa. A connection I have with Salamanca is that she felt completely shattered when she saw her mom's grave. On the mother's birthday, she has to die. If my mom died, especially on her birthday, and nobody told me, I would be devastated to find it all out. It would upset my whole family. I read the whole book and I loved it. I recommend it to everyone. It's got action, and mystery mixed together to make a delightful book.

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Summary: A girl named Salamanca and her grandparents are out to go on a road trip somewhere to Ohio. She does not feel good about it because she doesn't want to leave their farm. A couple days before she left, she met a round headed girl named Rachel. At her school in Kentucky, she tries to communicate with her but fails. Soon, she decides to sit next to her and be nice. They later ends up as friends and pretty good ones as well. They now hang out for long periods of time. A connection I have with Salamanca is that she loves to talk by comparing people to animals. She compares someone's speed to a horse's or their grace to bird's. I too love animals, especially pigs. They're pink, chubby, and hold tons of laughs. My prediction for the next time I read is that the bond between the two of them will grow even stronger and they'll do almost everything together. From what I've read, Salamanca totally misses the barn at her old home. She also loves to meet new people and act kind to them. Rachel on the other hand is very shy and she seems lonely. The only one I've ever seen her talk to is Salamanca. It's interesting how Salamanca and Rachel got along so fast. From the 30 pages I read, this book is pretty cool.

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons
Summary: Salamanca and her good friend Phoebe starts receiving two mysterious letters from somebody unknown. One of them quotes, “You can't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins.” The other letter quotes, “Everyone has his own agenda.” They also meets a guy who strangely wants to meet Mrs. Winterbottom, Phoebe's mom. They start calling him the “Lunatic.” They saw the “Lunatic” paying the clerk at a drug store. Salamanca seemed a little frightened every time she saw the “Lunatic.” She always tried to avoid him. I can connect to the way she acted. I would also feel scared and avoid the “Lunatic.” Salamanca probably did that for her own protection. My prediction for the next time I pick up this book is that Salamanca will tell her mom or dad about the “Lunatic” and keep avoiding him. He's getting kind of suspicious for asking about Mrs. Winterbottom. I also predict that Salamanca and Phoebe will keep receiving strange messages from this mysterious person. A lot of excitement in this book so far with only about ¼ of it done which was very unexpected. I love it!

Title of Text: Walk Two Moons.
Summary: Salamanca, her grandpa, and her grandma continued the road trip to Ohio from Bybanks, Kentucky. Along the way, they see a beautiful river. The sun's heat was painful and was staring them down for quite a while. Everyone was exhausted and burning. So they decided to pull over and get out of the car. Her grandma and Grandpa get in the river, splashing themselves to cool off. Salamanca just watches. Minutes later, a young man comes and tells them that they're in private property. The man starts checking their pockets when a snake comes and bites Salamanca's grandma on the leg. She started bleeding—badly. The man then started doing a method on her where he sucks the blood and then spits it out. He does this for a while. The man also leads them to a hospital. There, the grandma gets treated. While waiting, the man and Salamanca start talking. He gives her his address so she can come over sometime. My prediction for next time I read is that Salamanca will go over to Todd's house and have a chat about what happened at the river. A connection I have is that just like Todd, I would help a person bleeding badly while they can bring the person to the hospital. Not only does that show kindness, it shows bravery and honor. Those are qualities of a very good person. Besides, there is an important saying, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” I definitely wouldn't want to bleed my body out. I want someone to help.
